If you're a specialist, it might mean writing STEM problems tough enough to trip up the smartest models, annotating CAD and engineering files, or running analyses in tools like GraphPad, SAS, and RStudio. On computer use projects, you might do real coding, design work in Figma, or spreadsheet tasks that teach AI how the job actually gets done. There's plenty of voice and language work too, like recording or transcribing speech across major Indian languages and English accents. And if you'd rather keep things passive, there's the App Data program for everyday app users. Different work, same goal: helping AI understand the world and handle real tasks a little better.

Do I need prior experience to get started?

Not always. It really depends on the project. Some, like audio recording or the App Data program, are open to anyone who meets the basics. Others, like STEM, CAD/FEA, life sciences, and AI evaluation, do need real expertise in the field (we can't fake our way through a physics PhD, and neither can you). You apply to whatever fits, and a short onboarding or assessment confirms you're a good match before you dive in.

Is Peaktalent legit, and are there any fees?

Yes to the first, no to the second. Peaktalent is a real company running human data projects for AI teams. Applying and working are always free. We never charge a fee, never ask you to buy equipment, and never ask you to send us money for anything. So if someone ever asks you to pay to work here, that isn’t us, and you should hold on to your wallet.

How much can I earn?

Fair question, and the honest answer is that it varies. Pay depends on the project, how complex it is, and the skills it calls for. As a rough guide, computer use coding projects typically pay around $20 to $30 an hour, and other computer use work like design or spreadsheets tends to land nearby. Expert projects such as STEM problem writing, CAD/FEA, or AI evaluation usually pay more, since they ask more of you. Voice and language work is often paid per task or per hour of recording, and the App Data program pays you on a recurring basis for data you're already generating. These are ballpark ranges, not promises. You'll always see the exact pay for a project before you say yes to anything.

How and when do I get paid?

Payment works on a per project basis. Once your work is reviewed and approved, payouts are usually processed within about 10 to 30 days, depending on the project's cycle. You'll see the payment method and timing for a project before you start, so there's no guessing at the end.

Usually, yes. Most projects have a short qualification step or a bit of onboarding tied to the work. It's quick, and it's there for a good reason: it helps us point you toward projects you'll actually enjoy and do well in, and it keeps quality (and pay) high for everyone. Think of it as a fit check, not an exam you can flunk.

Every submission goes through a quality review against the project's guidelines. If something misses the mark, you'll usually get feedback, and on many projects a chance to fix it and resubmit. Approved work is what gets paid. We try hard to make the guidelines clear from the start, so a rejection should be the exception, not a nasty surprise.

Can I work on my own schedule?

For most projects, yes. The work is remote and flexible, and you decide when and how much you take on. Night owl, early riser, or a bit of both on the same day? All fine. A few projects come with deadlines or a minimum commitment, but you'll know about that upfront, before you agree to anything.

The App Data program is completely opt-in. You pick which apps to connect and what to share, you can pause or leave whenever you want, and your data is handled in line with the privacy laws that apply to you. You’ll get the full details and consent terms before you join, so nothing gets decided for you behind the scenes.
